The Higher Hope Foundation’s ‘Hope’ Grant is a one time financial assistance grant intended to assist in the financial burden of costs associated with the aftermath of a violent crime or missing person case. 

Examples of financial burden can include (but are not limited to) private investigators, funeral expenses, search efforts, forensic testing, and more. 

*PLEASE NOTE - Higher Hope is not directly providing or connecting applicants to any resources. You must already have these resources ready/ selected and if selected we will provide the financial assistance to help fund the needed resources.

If you need expedited financial assistance for such crimes & traumatic events, please read our qualifications below and submit an application.

Requirements:

  • Must be a victim or family member/ advocate of a victim affected by violent crime or a missing person case
  • Must be directly involved in the qualifying factors of financial hardship
  • Must be able to provide examples of hardship (i.e invoices, bills, expense quotes, etc.) and have already pre-determined where the funds need to go
  • Must be 18+ to apply

Documents providing proof of qualifying crime as well as financial hardship are mandatory for all applications. Applications that fail to provide this proof may not be eligible for consideration. Proof of financial hardship includes, but is not limited to: paid invoices for reimbursement, upcoming invoices for unpaid services, quotes from vendors or selected professionals. Proof of qualifying crime includes, but is not limited to: police reports, death certificates, news articles.

Please note, at this time we can only allocate up to $5,000 to an applicant or project. 

We may occasionally accept larger grant requests on a case-by-case basis. Grant amounts are ultimately at the discretion of the Higher Hope Foundation's grant team.

The Higher Hope Foundation’s ‘Empower’ Grant is a financial assistance grant intended to financially support nonprofits that directly impact victims of violent crime or missing person cases.

Examples of qualifying crimes include: murder, rape, assault, domestic violence, kidnapping, sex trafficking, and missing person cases.

If your nonprofit relates to such crimes & traumatic events, please read our qualifications below and submit an application for funding.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide proof of 501c3 status via EIN or UEI number
  • Must be directly impacting victims of qualifying violent crime or missing person cases
  • Must be able to submit project proposal details and budget estimates at the time of submitting the application

Please note, at this time we can only allocate up to $5,000 to an applicant or project.
